View-dependent 3D Projection using Depth-Image-based Head Tracking

چکیده
The idea of augmenting our physical reality with virtual entities in an unobtrusive, embedded way, i. e., without the necessity of wearing hardware or using expensive display devices is exciting. Due to the development of new inexpensive depth camera systems an implementation of this idea became affordable for everyone. This paper demonstrates an approach to capture and track a head using a depth camera. From its position in space we will calculate a viewdependent 3D projection of a scene which can be projected on walls, on tables, or on any other type of flat surface. Our projector-camera system enables the viewer to explore the projected scene while walking around.

Stereo-Based Head Pose Tracking Using Iterative Closest Point and Normal Flow Constraint
In this text, we present two stereo-based head tracking techniques along with a fast 3D model acquisition system. The first tracking technique is a robust implementation of stereo-based head tracking designed for interactive environments with uncontrolled lighting. We integrate fast face detection and drift reduction algorithms with a gradient-based stereo rigid motion tracking technique. Our s...
متن کاملFace Tracking System Based on Color, Stereovision and Elliptical Shape Features
In this paper we present a vision system that performs tracking a human face in 3D. To achieve this we combine color and stereo cues to find likely image regions where face may exist. A greedy search algorithm examines for a face candidate focusing the action around the position of the face which was detected in the previous time step. The aim of the search is to find the best-fit head ellipse....
متن کاملThree Dimensional Model Based Rigid Tracking of a Human Head
Keywords: 3D model based coding, rigid head tracking, 3D motion estimation, feature tracking The presented work proposes substantial improvements to established methods for the two-dimensional tracking of an image and the rigid adaptation of a three-dimensional face model to a 2D projection. These are combined to produce a robust system for the rigid 3D tracking of a human head which is promisi...
متن کامل3D Reconstruction of a Human Face with Monocular Camera Based on Head Movement
Constructing three-dimensional model from two-dimensional images is an old problem in the area of computer vision. There are many publications and our approach is specifically designed for constructing the depth map of a human face, based on the head movement in a monocular setting. In our example, along with the front view image of the user, three additional images with various head movement a...
متن کاملFast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction
Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...
